Materials and Methods

Japanese materials were all collected in eastern Japan since 1999.  The herbarium materials were deposited at Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Natural History, Odawara, Japan (KPM-NC).  Living cultures were deposited at Japan Collection of Microorganisms, Wako, Japan (JCM), NITE Biological Resource Center, National Institute of Technology and Evaluation, Kisarazu, Japan (NBRC), and Tamagawa University Research Institute, Machida, Japan (TAMA).  Specimens collected were observed according to the method by Rogerson and Samuels (1994).
